My days used to just sulk bleakly on by
Each and Every day.
For every year of my seemingly insignificant ...
Life.
Day after day
I'd just daydream, wish and pray
That eventually some how
A CHANGE would come my way.
Almost out of thin air
This change grew into existence
Rooting itself in my soul
From a comfortable distance.
A TULIP.
A tulip with TWO LIPS
It's appearance was unassuming
But don't be too quick
To Judge a flower
By it petals.
This tulip's two lips cracked
What was the solid pavement of my heart
And liquefied my insides
Only with words so genuine.
But if only this TULIP
Was a tulip
And not a beautiful, empowering young wom
